How are the placements of BE in Computer Science and Technology from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology?

Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology is one of the most prestigious and best government colleges in India which ranks first in India and comes in top 200 colleges of the world. There is no such course (computer science) offered in Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology but there is a course named computer science automation. It is the college which has computer science automation department ranked 50 to 75 in the whole world and is one of the best computer science automation departments in Asia. If you want to learn machine learning in India then it is the great place for you as half of the department works on machine learning. It is the course that provides one of the highest average packages in India. There are many major IT companies that come for the placement of computer science automation students in Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology like Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Intel, Facebook and many foreign IT companies. The average package for computer science automation student from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology is about 12 to 24 LPA. The average package changes every year. The highest package is about 1 crore per annum. Hope it helps.

First of all, I need to correct you by saying that there is no computer science engineering in Indian Institute of Science and Technology, it is computer science and automation, which happens to be the course offering highest placements in the college. I heard people saying that the college is good for research and not for placements but it is not true for this branch. The big recruiters for the college being: Microsoft, Samsung R&D, Flipkart, IBM Research, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Oracle, Xerox Research, Walmart Labs, Directi, Cisco, Nvidia, Intel, etc. The average placement for the college in Computer Science and automation branch is 18 lacs, with 12 lacs being the minimum placement package and 27 lacs being the highest placement package offered to the students. More than 30 big companies came to the campus and almost 20% of the students got research positions this year. Also 20% of the students good place for a package of above 25 lacs.
