Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra is one of the best and oldest private engineering colleges of India. Birla tag line can help you getting preference in the off campus recruitment in all the companies of Birla. Placement scenerio is not very good at present time as it was 4-5 years before but you will definitely get placed at the end of your engineering career. Here is the list of the companies visited the campus last year. Amadeus Amazon Amdocs Cognizant Directi Fastenal Goldman Sachs IBM Infoedge Infosys MAQ Software Microsoft Sapient Capegmini Tata communications Think and learn Adobe systems BIT never reveals its placement statistics. A friend of mine who is currently studying there told me that highest package was around 26.97 lpa and average package is around 6.8 lpa. 90% placement is there and rest 10% opt for higher studies.
