How are the placements of BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from The National Institute of Engineering?

The college was set up in the year 1946, has managed to maintain a good reputation over the years and is the second oldest college in Karnataka. Placements at NIA have always been appealing but the highest packages are always scored by the computer science branch. Nevertheless, the electronics and communication engineering branch has also managed to make a mark in the placement report of 2012 to 2016 431 offers were made in the year 2012, followed by 329 offers in 2013, then 415 offers in 2014 followed by 584 of us in 2015 and 631 offers in 2016 in total. While specifically talking about electronics and communication engineering branch, 63 students got placed in the year 2012, then 48 students got placed in 2013, followed by 60 students in 2014, 64 students 2015 and 63 students in 2016. The companies making rounds during the placement season were ABB LTD., Mercedes Benz and LARSEN & TOUBRO LTD, TCS, ACCENTURE, GE Digital and many more. With this I wish you best of luck and cheers!

During the academic years 2012 to 16 we had the privilege of being visited by 80+ companies including 60 IT-companies and 30 non-IT companies. A total of 2,400 offers have been made through campus recruitment in the last five years. For the year 2016-17 till date we have 370 students placed and 52 companies visited the campus. We had the good fortune of being visited by ABB LTD., Mercedeces Benz and LARSEN & TOUBRO LTD, TCS, ACCENTURE, GE Digital and also many dream companies to name a few, such as CISCO, INTUIT, D.E.SHAW, SAP LABS, as well as telecom Comapnies like Vodadone, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communication have visited for Electronic and communication branch. An average of 50 companies regularly participate every year for Electronic and Communication branch with various roles into networking, IT, Management, Security, Sales, Marketing, Etc for complete all round development.
