Now the answer to your question is: A TV correspondent is to be understood as a reporter for the electronic channel I.e. news channel. The difference between this and that of a news presenter is that this one is the news provider, sender and the one who is in the field not in the news room. Hence, there are certainly small but important things to be kept in mind: The field job is demanding, not just travel, but risks as well as longer commitments. The requisites remain the same as we have shared in the above two answers, mainly the ones for the job as a news presenter. The only difference remains is that one is on the desk of the studio, the other is in the field- reporting to the same camera. The salary, however, depends on the profile and seniority one has among the reporters. These days, staffers or full-time correspondents are not higher for small segments on areas. Task-based payments are made when a news story gets telecasted. The average earning for a part-time person can range from 20k to 30k, expecting a good number of stories. The moment one establishes oneself as a quality reporter then salary gets good and the jobs can also become that of a regular employee-staffer.
