CMAT is easy. If you are preparing for CAT then no need of separate work for CMAT. The syllabus is almost the same. I was also a student who prepared for CMAT immediately after my graduation. The important things which you should look into while preparing for this exam are as follows: 1. Select one of the best coaching centers which offer quality education- TIME is one of the famous coaching centers for CAT AND CMAT. 2. Dedication- Be focused on the aim which you need to achieve. 3. Try to read Hindu newspaper editorial. Most of the passages which appear in CMAT are from Hindu editorial. 4. Try to maximum number of online mock test. You will definitely clear CMAT by doing the above. 5. Try to read as much as you can and make note of points. 6. Revision of each week topics is very important. 7. Mathematical ability questions will be little twisted try to do as faster as you can. These are my tips for you to crack both MAT and CAT.

CMAT is of an easier degree in comparison to other competitive exams existing in the MBA Entrance list. It concentrates on reasoning, math, verbal and general awareness like most of the exams and easily offers access to universities like IISC, Bangalore and Christ University to mention a reputed few. Prepare your strategy as follows: Month 1: Invest time in preparing topics across 4 sections and plan a time-table. Devote about 56 hours per section on a weekly basis. Reserve a day for practicing sample papers. Month 2: Increase the frequency of attempting papers and base your study on the analysis of your performance in all the mock papers. Prioritize your strong areas and work hard on them and devise a strategy focusing strongly on them. Month 3: Practice sample papers and previous year papers rigorously. Keep revising on places where you have not been able to and retain whatever has been learnt so far. For the GK section, update yourself on major issues spanning 6 months-1 year before the exam date and you would be able to attempt majority of the section. Scan newspapers, magazines and editorials meticulously to keep yourself updated. All the best.

Make your plan according to the time you can give for the preparation on a daily basis. Work on your plan and identify your weakness and strength. Get a materiel right. Try to plan and identify above stated things within a week. Set your plan agile and keep buffer time for revision and solving mock test papers. Start with your verbal and quantitative practice in parallel. 3 months can make or change the game, time management is very important at every single point of time till the final day and even on the day. Keep positive! Solve questions in a specified time frame this will help you in doing questions in time. Maintain a good balance between your accuracy and solving time. Be focused and calm. For the last month keep all the formulas and tricks handy and revise on a daily basis. Remember not to be emotional while solving or appearing for exam. Manage your time wisely. Be devoted, dedicated and determined to whatever you do. All the best.
