MAT is easy. If you are preparing for CAT then no need of separate work for MAT. The syllabus is almost the same. I was also a student who prepared for MAT immediately after my graduation. The important things which you should look into while preparing for this exam are as follows: 1. Select one of the best coaching centers which offer quality education- TIME is one of the famous coaching centers for CAT and MAT. 2. Dedication- Be focused on the aim which you need to achieve. 3. Try to read Hindu newspaper editorial. Most of the passages which appear in MAT are from Hindu editorial. 4. Try to do a maximum number of online mock test. You will definitely clear MAT by doing the above. 5. Try to read as much as you can and make note of points. 6. Revision of each week topics is very important. 7. Mathematical ability questions will be little-twisted try to do as faster as you can. These are my tips for you to crack both MAT and CAT. Best of luck!

Management Aptitude Test is the all India level entrance examination for admission to the MBA programme. This exam will be conducted in both offline and online mode. Build your schedule/time table in such a way that every subject will get equal attention. It is compulsory to focus all the subjects as the marks weightage allotted to every section is equal. Self-study is very important during the arriving days of the examination. Try to reserve most of your precious time for self-study. It helps you to score good marks. It is suggested to the candidates to practice mock papers or solve previous exam papers as many as possible in a short duration of time. This will increase your speed as well as improve your skills. Due to lengthy syllabus, students will not get the time for revision resulting in forgetting and omitting of important topics. Revision is very necessary so try to complete your syllabus before 2 or 3 days of the examination. All the best.

In MAT there are different sections- Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Verbal and Reading Comprehension. Each section of the test has a few important topics which you must cover. Maths: Students from non-engineering backgrounds are not too comfortable in QA. If you are not an engineering student then you must focus in this section to improve your score, which will impact overall MAT percentile. The most important topics being - Logarithm, Algebra, Geometry, Permutation and Combination and Probability. LR/DI: Again a section where high-scoring can be done as this is comparatively easier than the others. You should focus on Data Sufficiency, Bar Graph, Tables, Case-lets and Pi-charts Verbal and Reading Comprehension: You need to be proficient in words to crack this section. Learn 5-10 words every day. Focus on fill in the blanks, grammar, para completion, para jumble, word usage and verbal reasoning. Cracking MAT in a year is a very simple task. All you need is a fixed and dedicated time allotted i.e. At least 2 hours a day for a year.
