MHT-CET entrance exam is one of the most important examinations for all the students who are yearning to become an engineer in the state of Maharashtra. It's clear that MHT-CET is one of the most difficult examinations and preparing for the same requires special techniques rather than just hard work and dedication which can help you get that extra edge. 1. Revise your textbooks so well that you should know almost each word by heart (don't rote learn). 2. Solve a lot of problems from books. There are many publications who publish standard books for MHT-CET preparation. 3. Solve papers to understand your strong & weak points and strategies accordingly. 4. Try to formulate tricks for a particular type of questions which you find time-consuming because MHT-CET is a test of your speed as well. 5. Try to solve more mock tests and previous years question papers. Planning is the first step to prepare for MH CET exam. It is important to know all the details about the syllabus. You should gather all details about the syllabus and prepare accordingly. Plan your preparation so that you can finish the syllabus on time. Every single topic from the syllabus plays an important role in the preparation. So try to cover all syllabus in your preparations. Time Management You should make sure to divide your time equally for all the subjects. Make a proper time-table and prepare wisely. Firstly, measure your time allotted for each subject and also make some time for extra activities. Never allot long hours study periods. Try to include short breaks between each hour. Study Materials & Sample Papers Preparing from the best books & study materials will help you achieve a good rank in the examination. Find out the best books and prepare from them. Also, practice the previous year's question papers to know the exam pattern well. Try to solve questions papers or sample papers on time, it will help you to manage your time to solve questions. MHT-CET is an entrance exam for engineering in the Maharashtra. Level of the exam is moderate. If you are preparing for other competitive exams like IIT-JEE that would be enough preparation for MHCET and you can crack it easily if you try so. Given below is the planning schedule for cracking the exam with a good score: Week 1: You should start with revising all the main topics that come in the exam and study those topics which you are not comfortable with. You should also solve mock test papers and analyse your mistakes for at least 2 hours. Week 2: Once you have studied the main topics, now start solving the mock test paper frequently and analyse every paper. If you will not analyse your mistakes in the paper then you will not be able to remove those mistakes. Week 3: Now, if you have been following the schedule for week 1&2 thoroughly then you can solve at least 2 mock tests daily and analyse the same. If you are still having problems with the mock test then revise that topic. Week 4: In the last week, for the first few days, you should solve as many mock tests as you can and in the last few days, you should only revise the main topics and the topics in which you have made mistakes.

If you are preparing from first i.e. from the beginning of the college then it is really easy to get good ranks in the entrance test. But it is really tough to crack any entrance test within 1 month. According to my experience in one month you can't gain the concepts instead you need to start learning important formulas. If you ask me I would prefer MTG which really has essential information for MHCET. The problems from that are from last year’s question papers and mainly MHCET paper contains 60% of questions from MTG problems. During your one month of preparation try to divide the time equally amongst all subjects and spend some more time on your difficult subject. As you have only one month left for the preparation you can't simply study the concepts but you can solve the MCQ's as much as possible. It is difficult to crack it in one month. So, start early and follow the below given tips. For MHT-CET, you have to treat your board text books as holy books. MHT-CET mostly revolves around the 12th portion of State board. Make sure you have read every single line of the textbooks for at least 3 times if you are serious about the exam. But this is not enough. You have to practice many application based questions for the exam. Use test series and question banks of reputed coaching institutes. Main factor in CET is also time management. So once you are done with your syllabus thoroughly have at least 20 full mock tests under exam conditions. I would suggest timed practice from start as such. I won't say there are any specific important topics. I suggest to cover entire portion and then do timed practice. A score of 185+ is a decent score and you can surely get it if you employ above mentioned strategy. It will be easier for you if you are already preparing for exams like JEE. The numerical part of CET is easy compared to JEE. Only thing you would need to do is cover the theory from text books and give timed mock tests.
