Following are the details to get admission in NIFT: 1. You must be class 12th passed from any of the government approved school. 2. You have to clear the written exam and after clearing the exam, you have to clear the situation test. 3. Finally, you will be called up for the interview, if you clear the exam. 4. NIFT has two levels of entrance exam. The first level is the CAT & GAT ( creative and general ability test) this essentially checks your English, maths, analytical, design and sketching skills. Once you qualify this you are eligible for the situation text that comprises of 3D model making. On the basis of the combined result of both these levels you are allotted a rank. This rank then further is instrumental for getting you a centre/course at any of the NIFT Campuses. If you have a low rank you might not even be allotted a center as all seats get occupied. There is NO interview round for B. Des course at NIFT.
