CBSE JEE Apex Board conducts every year Joint Entrance Examination (Mains) for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes at NITs. For admission to NITs the merit/rank list is prepared based on 40% weightage to school Board marks in class 12th or equivalent examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Mains). The weightage to school Board/Equivalent examination marks is considered only after normalization. Entrance to NITs is tough. therefore, you will have to score well both in 12th class and entrance examination.
