For abroad.the main two standardized tests that you need to write to be elligible for a MBA program are: 1. GMAT 2. Gre For going abroad, one has to prove his english language profiency by writing either of the two tests depending on where you want to apply: 1. For studying in a US B school one has to appear for TOEFL 2. For else where in the world, IELTS is a must. Having said that, there are a lot of universities and b schools which sumtyms gives its students waivers for such language tests and sometimes even for the gre and GMAT too. So it is best to go through the target universities website for more specific details. For Bschools in India: 1. CAT- Mainly for IIMs,FMS,etc 2. XAT- for XLRI Jamshedpur 3.IIFT- Exclusively for the two IIFTs in India 4.MAT and NMAT for other bschools However for applying to ISB one has to write the GMAT. Hope this helps.
