Most of the freshers’ recruitment in IT companies occur in campus placement. Indian IT industry is in slow down phase due to outcry against outsourcing in Western world. Therefore, it is becoming difficult to get break in IT or ITES industry for freshers if you have not picked up job in campus placement. You may face challenges in getting fresher development or testing job after MCA with gap years in your CV. However, if you have gained marketable IT skills or certifications few years gap may not impact your job prospects if you do well in job selection Technical round and personal interview. Any recruiter will condone few years gap for a good candidates with industry recognized certification. In addition you require to have credible reasons for gap to explain gap years in your CV to a recruiter.
