Please prefer taking up VIT University. We have one of the best curriculums, faculty, a great campus and infrastructure. If you get among the right people you will become technically very sound and will have great skills which may further help you either in getting a great job or an MS from a great university. I know people who have been placed at 36 LPA from VIT, Chennai. Anyways, even on any other parameter, I am sure VIT will stand out. We have better and internationally spread alumni, better industry exposure and a rigorous curriculum to make get the best out of people.

You can opt for that, but it is not better than SRM and VIT main campus as the located in the outskirts of Chennai. VIT is far above in ranking for doing B.Tech in comparison to Amity university. My recommendation in order of precedence are VIT University, SRM university and then Amity University.
