Geo Science is not a much known but a promising branch provided you know how to go for higher studies and job. After completing your Bachelors, you may go for IITJAM for M.Tech/ M.Sc in IT and Dehradun itself has a geology institute where you may look for internships too.

Well, UPES is known for its best education and placements in Petroleum branch. Geo-Science Engineering is almost a sub-part of petroleum. Recent data shows that placements happen in geo Science also but less as compared to petroleum. P.S - Geo-Science is a wide area for research as compared to any other branch. If you are looking for then go for it. Good luck.
