In some states like M.P. you will get a BE degree which mainly concentrates on theoretical knowledge. Otherwise in many other states like U.P. Punjab Rajasthan etc. you will get a B.tech degree which comprises of both theoretical as well as practical knowledge. But overall there is really no difference at all other then their names.
