The course is 3 years long. divided into 6 semesters. Students are taught 9-10 subjects every semester, excluding foreign language and an open elective course. Subjects range from writing, reporting, TV journalism, radio to photography, newsroom practices. English and Behavioural Science are taught as an value added course. About the placements, there is a dedicated placement cell in the college. While the placements through the college aren't too impressive since larger and more well established companies have not been coming for recruitment, the scope for jobs and internships outside is endless. An ASCO degree is well received in the market, and if one is able to take advantage of all the facilities available in the college, a solid skill set can be developed. The environment in this college is not too academic always, it's all about getting the right faculty and right friends surrounding you. :)
