BMS College of Engineering is an autonomous institute located in Bangalore and was affiliated to VTU till 2008. The Department of Architecture of BMS was started in the year 1980. It offers programs in B.Arch, M.Arch and Doctoral programme under VTU, Belgaum. The Post Graduate programme Master of Architecture (M. Arch) in Habitat Design links the undergraduate and research programs. The programme is of two years duration (four semesters). M. Arch (Habitat Design) programme commenced from 2005. Faculty: The department of architecture has many experienced faculties. Most of them are postgraduate teachers who have many years of experience in teaching and industrial education. The student reviews also good in terms of their teaching, coordination and training. Infrastructure: The college has a great infrastructure to provide student-friendly environment and education. It has an established library and well-equipped labs and workshops. These are adjudged by the student reviews who did their B.Arch and M.Arch at BMS. The college also provides good training for placements and higher studies.
