ULSAT stands for UPES Legal Studies Aptitude Test. It is the entrance test conducted by University of Petroleum and Legal Studies. The exam is conducted online. The total number of questions that are asked is 150 which have to be attempted in three hours. The question paper is divided into five sections: English including Comprehension, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Legal Reasoning. Each section carries 30 marks and there is no negative marking. The final scores are calculated on the basis of a number of correct answers. The ranks are then calculated on the basis of the final scores. These ranks form the basis of admission to the college. The college then releases the first admission list and the waiting list. University of Petroleum and Energy Studies popularly known as UPES conducts ULSAT to offer admission to aspirants in law programmes offered by UPES College of Legal Studies. The pattern of the exam is as follows- Online exam Maximum number of questions- 150 Time limit- 3 hours. 5 sections- Language Comprehension, Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude. Each of these sections have 30 questions which carry the weightage of 1 marks. No negative marking for any wrong attempts. The ULSAT result will specify the examination qualifying status of candidates, while the score card will mention their respective scores and merit secured among the text takers.
