Yes, this college has a good facility for games. We have an athletic meet in February every year and a sports meet named 'Vajra' every year. About CSE, this college's is better than many NIT's in all aspects including teaching staff, facilities, placements, etc. We have weekly contests within our college to practice one's coding skills.

CSE branch of BIT Mesra is way better than NIT's and is often comparable to IIT's. The companies which visit for placements are likes of Directi, Amazon, Arcesium, Walmart etc. with packages ranging from Rs 14 - Rs 27 lakhs per annum. Answering to the first part of your answer - If you are talking about computer games then you can find passionate gamers of Counter-Strike, FIFA, Rainbow Six Siege etc. and if you're talking about sports - then we have a great team for basketball, football, volleyball, table tennis & badminton. BIT, Mesra has good facilities for games and sports. It has a big sports complex to play games. Every hostel has their own table tennis rooms. The sports complex has 2 football fields, 1 hockey ground, 3 volleyball courts, 2 basketball courts and 2 wooden floored badminton courts. Also, there is a big gym for the students with a lot of equipment to try hands on. The sports complex is under renovation and soon there will be a lot of new stuff for the students. Yes, CS branch here is good enough to compete with the NIT's as well as the IIT's.
