There are different types of courses. You can do certification, diploma or degree in the photography. and the duration of all the three courses is different. So you will have to decide which will be more convenient for you. A certification course will be of 3 months, diploma for 1 year and a degree for 3 years. You can decide which one do you wish to pursue.
