It depends on an individual's interest and other factors like the course opted in UG and career prospects. You can opt for any of the following specialisations in MBA: 1. Operations: It needs analytical knowledge with fair hands-on mathematics. 2. Finance: It needs basic knowledge of accounting and share, equity and credit-debit transactions. 3. Marketing: It deals with the promotion and advertising strategy to convince the target customers to buy your product. 4. HR: It requires good communication skills to deal with your team. You need to get the best out of your team and keep them motivated. 5. Mass communication: If you are interested in media and mass communication and have good speaking skills. Other known disciplines are financial engineering, data science, rural management and health care management. Apart from IIMs, to get admission in other B-schools, you need to fill the application form of the colleges in which you want to take admission. After filling the form, the college will shortlist your name for GD/PI or WAT/PI. The shortlisting is based on various criteria (there is weight-age of entrance exam score/work experience and extracurricular activities). After this final list of selected students will be declared. You should look for following parameters: 1. Placement record 2. Infrastructure 3. Alumni 4. Student to faculty ratio
