You have to be in top 20 percentile in your state, then only you will be given seat in the prestigious institutes.

JEE Mains doesn't depend on 12th marks. You should get above 75 percentile.

75% is enough for the eligibility but issue is meeting other criteria too.

It totally depends on your basis knowledge. If you get 85 percent in 3 subject, then you are appropriate to sit in her Mains.
