The minimum marks you need would certainly depend on the NIT you desire. For other than home state NIT's you will need higher rank. Also, it will depend on the engineering discipline you prefer. Every NIT/IIT has different cut off for every particular stream. So, if you score around 90% in Boards you might get a NIT with JEE marks above 150.
