GD/PI is a very important part of the admission process and it is very important to prepare for GD/PI as hard as for CAT exam and other MBA entrance exams. One can simply start with reading newspaper 'The Hindu' (recommended). This will help you with the verbal section as well as for GD/PI. To perform well in GD/PI, students should try to speak on a random topic (can be picked up from internet). One can also join a coaching centre which prepares students for GD/PI. Attend a few mock GD/PIs which are conducted by these coaching institutes. For PI, please do some introspection and write down points and try to justify by giving your real life experience how you overcome difficulties in past. Be truthful during your interview. Thank you. I hope this helps.

Group discussion and personal interviews are very important part in top B-Schools. Try to get as much general knowledge as possible before you go for a GD. Some important points to remember while you go for GD and PI are: 1. Read as much trending news as possible. One such topic will be given to you while you go for GD. 2. Prepare a very strong resume before you go for GD and PI. 3. Try to prepare very well for GD/PI by attending Maximum mock group discussion and personal interviews. 4. Ask opinions from your placement head. 5. Read Hindu newspaper every day. By doing all these things, you can prepare for GD and PI. By clearing MAT or CAT for getting selected to a best B-school is just a matter of fact. But, if you really need to get into a campus, be prepared for GD/PI. It is one of the toughest in terms of selection.
