It is of objective type with multiple choices. There is a negative marking for each wrong answer. A total of 150 are asked which students have to attempt within two and half hours. The five areas covered in the questions are - English - Quantitative - General Awareness - Analytical Reasoning - Logical Reasoning - Syllabus for Entrance Test Although there is no fixed syllabus for the Symbiosis entrance test. The students can prepare for the questions from the above mentioned areas. English Out of 150 questions English carries 25 questions and the students can practice certain areas like Reading Comprehension - Synonyms - Antonyms - Meaning of words - Correct grammar usage and rules of it - Quantitative Aptitude This also carries 25 questions from the following areas: - Statistics - Geometry - Algebra - General Awareness This section carries out 60 questions and students should know the current issues and events in - Business - Health - Legal area - Analytical and Logical Reasoning This section carries 40 questions and the areas covering are - Coding and decoding - Data interpretation - Definitely true or false statements - Probably true or false statements etc. Some reference books you can refer to - Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations by R.S.
