IIT is the dream of many candidates who left behind everything to make their dream true and a little mistake and lack of proper guidance give a bitter taste to the candidate result. Here are the few common mistakes that a candidate do during their preparation:- 1. Never underestimate NCERT e.g.; in 2016 3 questions asked from Biomolecules chapter 14 from chemistry 12th and true line is mentioned in NCERT book. 2. Never try to collect a lot of books if you want to refer only one side book because going through the different book may confuse you. 3. Try to miss less classes no matter where you are studying because may be a class which you missed. 4. Don't spend too much time on the social network. 5. Try to avoid foreign writer book such as Irodov, Resnick and Walker series because in many cases you may get confused instead of learning. 7. Never compare yourself with the weak student and be in touch with a good student. 8. Don't worry about future just go with your preparation and be ready to face anything. 9. Don't use a calculator during maths calculation because it may decrease your speed. 10. Never lose hope and believe in yourself. I hope these highlights of common mistakes will help you to solve and score good marks.

There are few things to remember for avoiding these so called silly mistakes. 1. Remain calm during the exam. Practice it during the mocks itself. 2. Do not do any last minute preparations (just before the exam). My advice is that don't study anything at least the day before the exam. Even if you want to then make sure at least don't study the night before the exam. 3. Get proper sleep before the exam. If your mind is not fresh, you will surely make some silly mistakes. 4. Don't eat too much before the exam as it can make you a bit sleepy and lousy. So, make sure you have a light breakfast before the exam. You should have enough food so that you don't feel hungry even after one hour of the exam. 5. Most important now, while solving the mocks, analyse your answers closely while checking the paper. See where you are making silly mistakes and make sure you learn from them. 6. Give a lot of timed mock tests as in the real exam, you are prone to make silly errors under time pressure if you are not used to it. So keep calm and ace the exam. All the best.
