Go through the subject properly and practice well which makes you more confident. And, also go through the mistakes which you have done before. So you will not repeat it again.

MAT is essentially an exam that is lower on the difficulty level. Hence, accuracy with speed becomes sacrosanct to score a good percentile. The common mistakes which candidate makes and how to avoid them: 1. Do not leave GK section prep for too late- GK is an integral part of MAT, hence a good score in this section is needed for a good overall %ile. Most students don't prepare for this section and it is the biggest mistake as even basic prep can help solve 50% of the questions 2. Trying to attempt all questions- It is important to have an exam strategy and pick your strength areas so that you can maximize your overall score. Attempting all questions only leads to negative marking 3. Not taking mocks - As MAT is a speed based test, it is important to take timed mock so that time management can be taken care of. Only after mocks can one understand how to prepare your exam strategy

Tips to avoid common mistakes in MAT: A- Don’t feel pressure: Getting under stress is the biggest mistake that we make just before the exam and prepare ourselves ready to lose the race. Make sure you are positive, remain cool and calm throughout the exam. B- Enter with open mind: Our suggestion is not to get biased or limit yourself in attempting the number of questions. You may or may not attempt all the questions in all the sections, given the time constraint or for fear of getting penalty for wrong answer. D- Last minute preparation: To give your best. Do not learn new tricks at the very last moment. This increases chances of confusion especially in case of mathematics problems E- Don't get stuck: If you feel the problem is taking time, then leave and move to next. There is no point in wasting time in something which you don't know or which is taking time. Its better to attempt 2 simpler questions than to crack a difficult one.
