How to join merchant navy? What is the criteria?

The Indian Maritime University is a central university that was established by Government of India for imparting quality education in the maritime field. It has an All-India jurisdiction and the headquarters is at Chennai. It has campuses at Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Visakhapatnam and Cochin. University conducts degree and post graduate courses on Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Ship building and International Transportation and Logistics Management etc. A lot of private colleges are affiliated to IMU. IMU conducts its own entrance namely All India Common Entrance Test. You may appear in CET after 10+2 stage to pursue your merchant navy career. You may look further details at following link:

You can join merchant navy but first of all you have to take admission in merchant navy courses like GP rating and B.Tech in marine engineering. After completing the course you can do job in merchant navy.
