A complete year of preparation is needed if you devote upto 4 hours a day. This is my experience. I scored 92.3% in CAT and got into North India's best private B-School, Doon Business School, Dehradun. The placements are fair with the highest package offered was 22.5 lpa last year. The fee structure is reasonable too.

You can start your preparation topic wise. The time is less for preparation. So, you should start with logical reasoning and data interpretation. Also, go with English language. Then, go for GK and mathematical aptitude. Just create a time of the day and divide your day in four parts in which every part should be given equal weightage. This will help you in covering a large syllabus in less time.
