Doing M.Arch after B.Arch is a very crucial decision that will map out your journey ahead and therefore should be a well thought out decision rather than doing it just for the sake of a degree. The choice of Masters or specialisation will completely depend on your interest. M.Arch is one option where you don't do a specialisation like landscape, conservation, urban designing, etc. and hence you are equipped with a choice to work in whichever sector you feel like after graduating. Plus obviously you have a Master's degree to add value to your Bachelor's degree. If you want to pursue a career in teaching then an M arch degree is a must in India. With M.Arch degree you also become eligible to bid for various government projects where a master's degree is essential to bid for the project, if you're setting up your own firm.
