Comparing both of the fields can be quite debating, still, there are facts associated with both. Firstly, don't think about how much years you are going to invest in medical, but go for your passion. Now, you will ask, how? As you are confused about your passion, right? Go for the subject, you think, you can grasp easily. If you are taking more time to understand then you won't be able to do well in upcoming competitive exams. Don't think that you can crack AIIMS easily, every other guy at this age thinks of himself a superior candidate. If you are afraid of wounds, then I will tell you that, I too was scared of these wounds and abnormalities and leprosy, but now, after the 1st year MBBS, it feels so common for me (as we dissect dead bodies). During opting subjects, don't think that subjects in which you scored high will be good in future, but go for your personal interest. Ask your heart, which subject is better for that feel of studying. I scored A1 in maths and A2 in science, but opted for PCB. Medical has a brighter future as each doctor will get a job, but not every engineer will get a job easily as the competition is so high. Students of IITs and NITs have good opportunities. If still, you are confused, then toss a coin to choose. If you are thinking of another toss then you know the answer. All the best.
