Need not compare, go for SRM University, Chennai. It is the right place for CS Engineering students, and is very much professional, if we compare it to LPU in terms of- 1. MNCs placement 2. Campus location 3. Infrastructure ( LPU is only large in area) 4. Extra-curricular activities 5. Communication level 6. Fests .

LPU provides a lot of opportunities to each and every one of the eligible students to secure good placement. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes from the first year onward, it may be soft-skills, GD, presentations, extempores, technical interviews and personal interviews. To make students get placed in their dream companies. Placements and internships opportunities offered by the university placement department (Division of Career Services, DCS) ensure that students get hands-on experience in working in the industry. My friend studied in Lovely professional University and got placed in Amazon, So I heard many times about LPU from my friend and according to him: To enable the students LPU keeps pace with changing technological advances, the university has industrial tie-ups with various industries. Studying these courses as a part of the curriculum that provides wild card entry to the industry. Some of the industrial tie-ups include Google, SAP, Cisco, Bosch, Dell EMC, VMware, PEGA Systems, Intel and Microsoft. LPU provides instil knowledge in the major areas of computer science and engineering such as artificial intelligence, networking, databases, data analytics, web development, and cloud computing.

Wider exposure to the latest technologies as LPU is one of the pioneers in bringing the latest technology in educational field. 3. International tie-ups. If you ever make your mind to study abroad, LPU can help you realize this as it has 30+ tie ups with International universities. You study 2 years at LPU and rest at other university and get full degree from that international university. 4. More number of companies visit LPU for placements. 5. N number of different clubs run at LPU which actually works. 6. Many industries, corporate like Cognizant, Oracle, etc. Provide training at LPU.7. Google in house excellent center. 8. Membership of internationally recognised agencies, student/research clubs, etc. 9. Almost all kind of games are played and sports events are organized at LPU throughout the year. 10. Cultural/Dance/Debate/Science, etc. Competitions/events are being organized throughout the year. Excellent platform to showcase your talent. 11. You are the luckiest person, if you join the LPU for CSE branch, as there will be a number of companies that will visit LPU, especially for CSE when compared to other branches. The major reasons for visiting the number of companies is you will be having a number of Skills that you have learned from the first year onwards like HTML, JAVASCRIPT, Operating Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, C, C+, DBMS, Java, SAP.

Both has good placement but in case of infrastructure and facility LPU is better than SRM. If you really want to do B.tech and assure yourself that you can perform well in academic then choose any one where you feel comfortable because LPU situated in North and SRM, Chennai situated in South. both are good so choose according to your comfort zone :)
