You can appear for IAS exam after completing your UG in any stream. It is the basic requirement.

For UPSC exams, it's necessary to complete graduation degree first. It's good that you planning from class 12th. You can start the preparation from class 12th to become an IPS. Focus on most of the questions asked from current affairs, IAS, IPS interview questions and answers, syllabus and more. Give enough time to your preparation.
