There are many specializations in which you can do your M.Tech after completing your B.Tech in civil engineering like: 1. Environmental engineering. 2. Structural engineering with specialization in offshore structures. 3. Pipeline engineering. 4. Computational fluid dynamics. 5. Health safety and environment engineering. My personal choice is structural engineering as it has very good career prospects and job opportunities. To pursue this specialization, you can go for NIT - Calicut or UPES - Dehradun. It is having a pen paper test being held on 12th August, 2016 for on the spot admissions, which you can check on their website. Both of these are best bets and have good placements opportunities.

I would advise you to gather some money either from a relative or your friend and try going abroad to any Gulf country. You will definitely get a job with a good salary. Your living expenses will be handled by the company, which will hire you.

You should pursue post graduate Diploma and a job in any small company, ignoring the salary.
