I got 42% overall in physics, chemistry & maths, am I eligible for BITSAT?

As your percentage is too low, you cannot appear for BITSAT.

Sorry to inform you, but you are not eligible for BITSAT because the minimum percentage required in PCM for BITSAT is 65%. So, you are not eligible.

No, you can't appear for the exam, because you have low percentage. You can still go for the other entrance exams and can appear for the private institutes CLC round or entrance exams. But, you can't appear for this BITSAT.

For admission to any of the First Degree programmes of BITS except B.Pharma. : Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and adequate proficiency in English. (ii) For admission to B.Pharma. : Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) and adequate proficiency in English. However candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy programme. Admission to all the programmes is subject to the conditions given below: The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks.

No, you can't appear for the exam because you have low percentage. You can still go for the other entrance exams and can appear for the private institutes CLC round or entrance exams. But you can't appear for this BITSAT.

Sorry but you aren't eligible for BITSAT because your marks are too low for that exam. You need at least 65% in PCM to be eligible for BITSAT. Regards.
