I would suggest you to drop a year and prepare for the entrance and crack it with good marks.

All branches are equally good and has equal opportunities. what matters is your interest, explore it and then shortlist a few then I will help you further sorry to say but with these marks you mentioned it will be difficult to get a good college. I suggest you to work hard and get a good JEE score as well as apply for improvement in boards.

Please be very careful while choosing your branch and take care of the below points: 1. Don't take a branch that is a derivative of some other beach, like Industrial engineering, Instrumentation, Biotech, Automobile or Aeronautical. Most of the Indian companies are service-based, so none of them look for such skill set. 2. Choose from Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, CS, IS but not electrical and chemical, again you won't find jobs, in electrical and the subjects taught are tough too. 3. Go through the curriculum of all the above-mentioned branch, relate them to the subjects you studied in class 11th and 12th. Try to figure out what all you don't want to study, you will automatically realise what you want to study. I think that's what you wanted to know. Hope I have answered your question.

You will get admission in any of the branch, but you should adopt it on the basis of your interest.

among all the branches cse has the best placement but it all matters on colleges to college too some college have cse better some has electronics and some has mechanical so choose among these three only cse electronics and mechanical and if you are thinking about dropping then drop the idea of dropping studying a whole year the same thing without friend and with immense pressure is very difficult I have seen my friend getting nothing even after taking a drop
