There are many institutes which offer admission to the qualifying candidates of JEE Mains 2017 in their undergraduate engineering programmes on the basis of their scores and ranks. JEE Mains 2017 participating institutes include 31 NITs (National Institute of Technology), 20 IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology) and 19 GFTIs (Government-Funded Technical Institution). The number of JEE Mains 2017 participating Institutes can go up or down depending on as and when CBSE, the exam conducting body for JEE Main 2017, releases the list for 2017. As of now, as many as 70 institutes of national importance are the participating institutes of JEE Mains 2017.
