B.Com provides students with a wide range of skills in the area of commerce, accounting and management. It also helps in preparing the students for business enterprises in Account and Finance roles. The eligibility criteria for seeking admission in B.Com is 10+2 from a recognised board of examination. Students of all streams are eligible to seek admission in B.Com. The admission in B.Com is based on marks obtained by candidates in 10+2. Admissions are also based on the cut-off marks in 10+2. Some universities ask for best of four subjects and some total marks scored in 10+2. Any Diploma in engineering graduate who has done Diploma after class 10th board is not eligible to seek admission in B.Com because currently Diploma in engineering is not deemed equivalent to 10+2 and students cannot be put at par with 10+2 students of different boards. Diploma in engineering course is not aligned with the field of Commerce. In case you want to do B.Com then you are advised to do 10+2 as an external candidate to become eligible for B.Com or any other graduation degree course.
