You are eligible if you are in the final year of your Bachelor's program, already have a Bachelor's degree, or have professional working experience that totals up to 4 years. CFA is a highly rewarding career and it goes like this. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is the certification provided by CFA Institute. The exam is categorized at 3 levels, based on the level of difficulty of the exam. Level I exam is held twice a year whereas Level II and Level III are held only in June. The CFA exam essentially tests your fundamental knowledge in finance domain. Anyone having a graduate degree is eligible to appear for the exam. People having a degree in domains other than finance are also eligible. These days engineers, doctors, MBAs who want their career in risk management or investment banking opt for this exam. A lot of business schools and firms also give preference to candidates who already have certifications. Often, candidates who want to pursue Master's degree in finance, go for both CFA program charter and MBA. CFA degree is recognized worldwide by the investment banks and firms in financial services domain. Qualifying CFA program can certainly help candidates seeking a career in finance and risk management. Students also go for CFA Program Charter even post MBA or while doing MBA. Passing all the 3 levels could take about 3 years, to appear for each level in each year. Preparation for the exam could be pretty rigorous and demanding if you are from non-finance background. The CFA Institute provides the following breakdown of the most common professions: 5% Relationship Manager. 16% Research Analyst. 7% Chief Executive. 7% Consultant. 5% Corporate Financial Analyst. 5% Financial Advisor. 23% Portfolio Manager. 6% Risk Manager.

CFA programme is a professional credential offered by CFA Institute to Investment and Financial professionals. To enroll in the CFA programme and register for your first Level I exam, you must have: (a) An international travel passport and (b) One of the following: I. Undergraduate education: A Bachelor's (or equivalent) degree or be in the final year of your Bachelor's degree programme (you must have completed your Bachelor's degree program in order to register for the Level II exam), or ii. Work experience: Four years of professional work experience (does not have to be investment related), or iii. A combination of professional work experience and education that totals at least four years (part-time positions do not qualify, and the four-year total must be accrued prior to enrollment). Diploma done after 10th or even after 12th is not equivalent to a graduation degree. Therefore, you are not eligible for CFA programme. You are either advised to gain professional work experience of 4-years in the field or gain a graduate degree to become eligible for doing CFA.

No, you can not. With the advent of globalization and easy flow of money, the demand for finance professionals has been increasing steadily. Whether it is portfolio management or investment banking or even financial exchange management the demand for finance professionals has been zooming rapidly in the past few years. This programme is globally recognised, and its graduate-level curriculum provides a sturdy foundation of real-world portfolio management skills and investment analysis along with the practical knowledge you need in today's investment industry. To appear for CFA exam: 1) You should have a Bachelor's (or equivalent) degree. Or be in the final year of your Bachelor's degree programme at the time of registration. Or have four years of professional work experience (does not have to be investment related), Or have a mixture of professional work and college experience that totals at least four years. Part-time positions do not qualify, and the four-year total must be accrued prior to enrollment. 2) Have a valid international travel passport (required for enrollment and exam registration) 3) Candidates with a degree in progress: If you primarily enroll/register as a final year undergraduate learner with a degree in progress, you may not register for the level II exam till you have earned your degree, or attained professional work experience that meets the programs entrance requirements. When your degree is awarded, update your account education information to certify that your degree has been received.

You would be required to have completed your graduation first and then pursue CFA.
