As per my views, after completing M.Sc in botany, you are not eligible for UGC NET in Environmental Science, because you have botany subject in your Masters, so you can't go for UGC NET in Environmental Science. If you want to become a lecturer, then you can apply for UGC NET Earth Science.

To appear for the exam you must have minimum 55% aggregate marks for General/OBC category or if you belong to SC/ST/PwD category, then you must have minimum 50% aggregate marks.

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science& Applications, Electronic Science, etc. are eligible for this test.
