An intelligent person is no more the one who has a good aptitude, but a person who has a strong academic profile. Only IIM where an average student may not be able to make the cut is IIM Bangalore. The total of 100 questions were to be answered in 170 minutes. As for marks to be scored for getting into an IIM, it does not depend on your marks but on your percentile. You may even scoreless and get a good percentile if difficulty level was high for your slot. CAT is an exam where students score an enviable 100 percentile as well. It is not essential to get a 100%, but then 99 percentile is the score that is the minimum qualifying criteria if you want to get into an IIM. There are many good B-schools in India, if you could not make to be in IIM. The best B-schools are: Shailesh J. Mehta School Xavier's Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur Lovely Professional University, Punjab Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Trichy Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai SP Jain Institute of Management.

To get admission in top colleges, you have to score above 80 percentile.

You have chance in Iims because Iims eligibility criteria is 50% for open categiry and 45% for others. But only graduation percentage is not criteria. Need to more high CAT Score above 95%. You are facing some problem at the time of placement, few top recruiters finding candidate throughout 60-65% in the academic career. One more thing you can take an work ex then try. I think it is better option.

Try to get 90% in CAT. This will cover up for the loss in your BE. I am a student of Doon Business School, Dehradun. It has shown consistent performance in terms of placements. DBS, Dehradun provides scholarship for CAT scores above 80%. I myself availed a good scholarship with my score of 92.3 % in CAT.

Good evening dear, Not really. Most of the MBA college accepts 50% overall marks since high school. Thanks and all the best.
