Join a 18 months ( 3 sem ) or 3 years ( 6 sem ) or any long term course which teaches the entire animation pipeline starting from 2D sketching . This will make you reach your goal .

Alright and an interesting question. Well, to get into animation you got to take a training on Animation\VFX. But as I always say to become an Animation professional it depends person's creativity skill and thinking. If you are creative in thinking then Animation is a good choice.
