To prepare for IAS after clearing class 12th you should do BA and take political science, geography and history as your subjects. This will help you in IAS and in optional, you should take political science which will help you in mains. But, you should do BA from that university where attendance is not mandatory.

You can complete your B.Com. Any recognised graduation degree will make you eligible for civil services examinations. You will get assistance from institutes such as: 1. Elite academy. 2. Brilliant tutorials. 3. Rau's IAS, etc. Besides, you can read national dailies and current event magazines to update your GK. The coaching manuals are available at leading book stalls.
