Sure. You can get into NASA/ISRO but will you get in depends on a number of factors. 1. The institute you study in. Studying in premier institutes like IITs, IIST will surely increase your chances of getting into these organizations. Studying in IIST provides really good chance to work in ISRO. 2. Your talents and skills. You should have a strong fundamental base in the core subjects. 3. You should have done some notable work like some excellent research paper or project which garnered the attention of some important people. 4. You should, of course, possess soft skills as a person cannot perform a job without them. 5. Mainly you should have a great deal of commitment as the road you are choosing isn't an easy one but will surely lead to a glorious future. All the best!

Getting a job in NASA and aeronautical space defense sector requires stringent criteria. You would need following to get into required stream and sector. You don’t need an advanced degree to qualify but scoring a first class in the BE / B.Tech is a must with an aggregate of at least 65 % or a CGPA 6.84/10. Even if you do meet the minimum requirements it is no guarantee that you will be called for the test. The recruiter’s shortlist applicants for the written test after perusing academic performance and the information provided in the online application. The most important aspect is you need to be well versed with technical aspects of engineering and need to have good knowledge of defense sector. For preparation you need to study for Aptitude exams books like RS Agarwal and Chandresh Agarwal for Quantitative Aptitude, logical reasoning, Verbal reasoning, etc. Good communication skills with soft skills are must and key to get job in hypercompetitive sector. Core engineering branches are preferred for such job opportunities.
