No doubt, Computer Science and Engineering is the best and preferred branch among all due to its high salary package and wider career prospects. Still if you are interested in other branches, you can go for it.

If you are looking for money CSE is the best option. If you have interest in maths,calculations and statistic then opt for ME or civil, and if u r interested in s/w, discrete structure,programming then go for CS.

Choose the stream based on your interest but if you're not sure then go for CSE. bro. if u r interested in money then u can join CS branch. CS branch is very good. because CS engineering salay is too good except another branch. and my thinking is money is first. and most important think is that 95 % girls want there partner will be CS engineer.
