Amity University was only approved to offer admission for the academic year 2014-2015. After that, it has never got approval from UGC-DEB.

Amity University is not approved by DEB, you can refer DEB list updated on UGC website.

Yes, Amity University Distance is approved by UGC, accredited by NAAC with A grade, approved by AICTE, member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and member of Association of Commonwealth Universities. So don't worry about its approvals. It's fully approved and has a brand name in the market.

Distance Education Bureau of University Grants Commission (DEB-UGC) works as a regulatory body for distance education in India. The DEB has been vested with the responsibility of regulating distance education at higher level - grant permission to universities to offer distance learning programmes and monitor them.
