It completely depends on interest. B. Tech will fetch you a higher package only if you are very brilliant. If you won't go for a good B.Tech college then you may not even get a job. With pharma though, the package will be low, but job security will be more than B.Tech.

B.Tech Biotechnology is much better option than B. Pharmacy because you have many opportunities with biotechnology in the industry. Options After B. Tech. Biotechnology M. Tech / M. Sc. ( Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioprocess Engineering, Oncology, Food Technology and much more). Biotechnology is Research oriented field so you have lots of options after your bachelors in biotechnology. GATE is a good option for you to get enter into the best Indian colleges like IITs , IISc, NIT and other reputed colleges. (These colleges will give wings to your career). If you want to pursue your masters from foreign universities than you can prepare for GRE CSIR- UGC NET and DBT BET You can give this two examination after your Mtech and Btech respectively and if you successfully qualify these exams than you are eligible for JRF and Lecturership and can pursue your Ph.D. (Stipend offered by govt. 24000 /month) or can join any Institute as an Assistant Professor or Lecturer. Biotechnology as bioinformatics plays an important role in biomedical research. Service Examination - I am mentioning this option because in B.Tech you learn a lot of Analytical, Statistical and problem-solving techniques which will help you to get success in govt. services exams while In the case of B.pharm.
