Its a matter of choice. A choice that you have to make. trust me, its an add on due to the following reasons. It stands out in the market as B.Com is to mainstream. Thats how you are different than your other competitors. Its always beneficial to have a good degree and Baf is latestly doing great in the job networkThe portion of your Baf course (upto ty) are -: subjects such as various types of accounts I.e financial accounting is your Accounts paper 1&5 , Cost & Management accounting is paper 3, Tax is paper 4, auditing is paper 6 of Ipcc. This means portion runs parallel and you dont have to put in extra efforts for studying baf subjects(except one extra theory subject per semester which is affordable) unlike B.Com.Helps in time managementHave complusory internships and a handful of presentations (depending from college to college) in the course helping you boost your self confidence, brush your soft skills and gives you a good experience of work zones which is significant in todays competitive world.I know attendence in college is mandatory and all for such courses, but if you are Persuing an additional degree along side the college authorities to consider if you talk about it to them(Atleast mine were very supportive about the fact and welcoming open heartedly)I believe nobody likes to be ordinary. So I think my choice to go along with baf and CA is still one decision I would never regret in the educational passage of my life since I was always intrested in accounts. So look into your interests. Go through the syllabus of both courses. And then decide! I assure you that you wouldn't regret it too.
