As per my experience and opinion, BCA course is not a bad course, but if you think that you want to become an engineer, then you can do B.Tech from private industrial source, because there are lot of good private colleges. From that, you can do B.Tech, but if you want to work in IT sectors, then BCA is also good course.

Yes, you can choose BCA. But, try for B.Tech and work hard as much as possible to crack JEE.
