Well, CAT is mandatory to take admission in all the IIMs and also some renowned B-schools prefer CAT score. No CAT is not necesary to do MBA. There are many other exams which you can apply for and can do MBA. Some of them include- MAT, GMAT, IIFT and XAT. You can give any of these tests and do MBA. Although, seats are already filled up for this academic session. You can apply for next year.
