Himalayan University, Itanagar is UGC approved and a member of AIU, which makes degrees awarded by this university valid across the country including Odisha, and in most countries across the world. AIU is an association of major universities in the country set up with the aim of serving as an inter-university organisation, of which Himalayan university is a valid member. One of its objectives is to ensure that the standard of degrees, Diplomas, certificates and other academic distinctions are not lower than those laid down by AICTE, NCTE, UGC, MCI established by the Central Government for regulation of education.
